Skiles Test Elementary is a newly renovated, state-of-the-art elementary school located in the west quadrant of Lawrence Township, on the northeast side of Indianapolis.  The school is named in honor of eccentric Indianapolis millionaire Skiles Edward Test who donated the land the school is built on.

Skiles Test Elementary transitioned to a STEM magnet school in the fall of 2010.  Science, technology, engineering, and math are curricular areas of focus. The Indiana Academic Standards are the foundation for the school’s curriculum in all four of these programs.
