Welcome
Greetings and welcome to Skiles Test School of Spanish Immersion and STEM's website.
It is my privilege and honor to welcome you and your family to our wonderful Skiles Test STEM School and community. I am looking forward to an exciting year of learning and growing with our students and working with our professional staff, our parents and community members.
Our main goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality of education possible in a safe and supportive learning environment. While working together as a team with our staff and parents, we are committed to helping each student achieve their very best. Every student is valued and worthy of our very best effort.
In order to accomplish this goal, we have developed over the years a philosophical phrase: The Three Pillars of Success. These are: How we look, How we act, How we teach and learn. We will be spending a considerable amount of time discussing and implementing these concepts into what we are already doing at Skiles Test Elementary School. We sincerely believe that by adhering to the basic ideas embedded in these three concepts, our students will become well-rounded individuals that are extremely effective in competing in a global market place.
We are very passionate about the elementary school years. Most of our teaching and administrative years have been working with students and staff of this age group. This is an important and critical time of development – moving and developing students’ hearts and minds while preparing them for the bigger challenge of middle school. What happens during these few short years will have a lasting impression on their development and growth of our students.
The year will be busy, exciting, and hopefully very rewarding for each student. We want you to join us in making this the very best experience for your children. Being informed will help. Throughout the year our school website, periodic calendars, and newsletters, etc. will attempt to provide you with the most current information. However, many times you will have questions.
