Fifth grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Skiles Test Choir. They perform several times during the school year at various functions.
As part of Skiles Test's partnership with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, guest performers visit classrooms to do special lessons.

Fourth fifth grade volunteers work once a week in the media center and perform a valuable service to the whole school.
Senior citizens mentor and tutor children.
Each year, teachers sponsor a variety of clubs, including a running club and a chess club, that enrich the quality of after-school programs.
Mrs. Mattingly's fourth graders collect used paper every week and deliver to a receptacle for pickup. They donate the proceeds to the Media Center to purchase student- and teacher-requested materials.

Leadership opportunities are available to our second through fifth grade students through working with student council. The student council sponsors community service projects and school spirit projects.
